Educators in the Workforce is a group of teachers who have opted to use their professional development time this school year on gaining a deeper understanding of what it looks like for students to be “college and career ready.” The group is organized by the Consortium for Public Education and teachers are provided with a toolbox to create impactful school-business partnerships and gain a deeper understanding of how partnerships can provide students with the necessary experiences to make informed decisions about their future. On Oct. 9th, a group of Cornell Teachers visited the Iron Workers training facility in the Strip District to learn about opportunities in the trades.
