Cornell seniors Marissa Crowe and Leah Spencer traveled to the Westinghouse headquarters in Cranberry to take part in the annual Chain Reaction Contraption Contest. The team was tasked with building a contraption that would utilize 20 or more energy transfers over 30 or more seconds to "score a goal" in the most complicated fashion possible.
The Cornell team was an overall finalist and won the award for "Best Execution of the Theme" and were supported by Cornell teacher, Mr. Tavis Bogue.
Way to go Raiders!
