PRIDE Program registration has begun. The PRIDE Program will run after school throughout the school year and is open for grades 3-8. Any parent interested in registering for the PRIDE Program should email the PRIDE director, Mrs. Smith at [email protected].

Attached is the Health and Safety Plan approved by the Cornell School Board on August 10, 2020.

The 2020-2021 transportation schedule has been posted. See attachments below.

The Cornell School District will be hosting the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Mobile Care Bus on Monday, August 31 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Any parent who needs to have their child vaccinated or needs a physical can attend. There is no cost to families, the Mobile Care Lab will work with your insurance, if no insurance they will still get you the services your child needs.

We ask that you register by calling the Cornell Elementary office and giving your child’s name and grade. The number is 412-264-5010 ext. 141.

Appropriate physical distancing measures will be maintained. Please give yourself adequate time in case of a wait. To ensure child, family, and staff safety, adults and children over age 2 are asked to arrive wearing a mask. A mask is provided if you do not have one. Children must be accompanied by one parent or legal guardian.

The Cornell School District has created a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that addresses the hybrid model of reopening. In a hybrid situation students will be on half-day rotations (half of the students in the morning, the other half coming in the afternoon). To help address this in a proactive manner the District created the FAQ document and it was recently revised. Attached is the latest version.

The Cornell School Board of Directors Approved a calendar revision for the 2020-2021 school year. The attached calendar, as well as a document with key dates is attached.

Attached is the summer programming reopening overview. Cornell SD believes these programs will provide a nice small pilot program for our fall reopening plan which will be approved in August.
